Les Chais de la Bécasse

It is the passion for this long-beaked bird that is at the origin of the name of the Chais de la Bécasse.
From 1965 to 2011, it was under the name of Chateau La Bécasse that this winery was listed in the list of Pauillac wine properties.
In 2011, the death of my father Georges Fonteneau forced me to sell the vineyard to settle the estate.
The visit includes the vat room, the barrel cellar and the technical bottling rooms with all the explanations on wine making and maturing".
Since 2014, having managed to keep my cellars in Pauillac, I have been marketing a new vintage:
"La Bécasse du Médoc" A.O.P Listrac-Médoc.
