Historical residence of Pierre-Paul Riquet, the brilliant inventor of the Canal du Midi, classified as a national historical monument since July 31, 2008 and certified Maison des Illustres.

In the Garonne valley next to his house, Riquet set up his "test ponds". It is around this experimental complex, extending over nearly two hectares, that Riquet studied the water supply of his future Canal du Midi for about ten years.
