Cottage L'Orée des Fleurs - La Cotinière

Vacation time, time to head to the countryside in Anjou: big spaces, small roads and pathways are calling for a hike. In the hamlet of Aligny, belonging to the town of Grézillé, in between Brissac and Gennes, Christophe Bourcier is welcoming you in his 4* cottage "L'orée des fleurs". Little independent house next to a troglodyte cellar, perfect for quiet stays (2 to 5 persons). Genuine and natural setting.
After driving alongside the tree-line roads, you will find yourself in corner of paradise, near Saumur. It is the kind of place where you are going to love to stay.

As soon as you arrive, kids can hop in the garden, while you will Christophe will guide you inside this independent house built in tuffeau stone, refurbished from the ground up in 2015. The setting is quiet, flourished and genuine. On the ground floor there are: a full fitted kitchen, a living room for dining, a bathroom with walk-in shower, a trendy bedroom for 2 persons (double bedding 160 cm) accessible without any steps. On the top floor: living room with TV set, library, board games, and another nice bedroom for 2 persons (2 doubles or 1 single bedding). In front of the house is a terrace with a BBQ, and a garden lounge for long summer nights in the open air.

Vacation is for everybody: beds will be set when you arrive, and cleaning is included! Don't feel like running errands? Ask Christophe for his option "Full fridge". It will be set for your arrival: organic milk, cheese from Anjou, local vegetable, meals in jars, eggs, organic pasta, bread, fruit juice, fruits…

If Christophe is available, he will show you his troglodyte cellar next to his garden at the yard's entrance. You will admire beautiful man-made vaults, ancient bread oven, and an ancient home. He will advise you on the most beautiful spots to visit all around.

At walking distance, hiking trails are not lacking: GR3 is 8 km away and the "Loire à Vélo". Not mentioning the vineyards and the castles: a 10 min drive away is the Brissac castle, a little further is Angers', Brézé, Montreuil-Bellay… Plenty to do!
