Place de l'Hôtel de Ville fountain

All aboard the pirate ship on Place de l’Hôtel de Ville. But don't get too excited, you won't be going anywhere except to the land of imagination on this peculiar object. And for good reason, it's actually a fountain. Ah!
Wow - an onomatopoeic expression of astonishment and admiration. And that's the sound that will inevitably escape you when you see this very special fountain, - you can only be surprised and impressed. It grabs you, it blows you away - yes, design strikes again! It is pretty spectacular. The fountain is shaped like a long leaf, 12 metres long by 4 metres wide and 80 cm high. Made entirely of stainless steel, it was built by local firms, who put in 5,000 hours of work to complete it. What people sometimes don't realise is that the water can gush out of it in several forms: 1.70 metre high jets, but it can also bubble up or form a mist. Quite the jacuzzi, this strange UFO half-way between a spaceship and a pirate ship. But there's no point getting your swimming costume on, bathing is prohibited. And if you want a good photo, you'll need to keep a bit of distance or you might find you come out blurred.
