What to see and do around the Tourist Office?
The historic center, located on the Clermont-Ferrand hillock, unfurls around the lava-stone Gothic cathedral. Terraces of cafés and restaurants rub shoulders with antique stores, second-hand dealers, contemporary art galleries, second-hand booksellers and historic monuments such as the Romanesque basilica of Notre-Dame-du-Port, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela.
All year round daily. From July 1 to August 31: Open every day from 10am to 7pm. September 1 to June 30: Open daily* from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm. Closed : - Monday mornings until 2pm (excluding school vacations and public holidays), - Sundays in January and November, - Closed at 5pm on December 24 and 31, - Wednesday morning, November 26. Doors open at 2pm. - Thursday, December 4 and Friday, December 5 all day. - December 25 and January 1.
