Events relating to the Second World War are recounted, from the rise of Nazism to the Nuremberg trials, as well as the events that marked Auvergne from 1939 to 1945. Temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year.
Created in 1994 by Jean Bac, the Musée de la Résistance looks at the history of the Second World War from a local, national and international perspective. It explores various themes: daily life, resistance, collaboration, internment and deportation. Temporary exhibitions related to this conflict are held throughout the year, as well as a rich program of conferences.
