Go to the end of the park to discovert the ancient garden of the Caillebotte's House, dating from the 19th century and often painted by Gustave Caillebotte. Today, the Caillebotte Potager Association maintains and animates the place in a cultural and educational spirit.
Since 2011, the garden covers an area of 1,700 m2, one third of the original area. The remains of the water pump, the restored greenhouse, the creation of a small pond and the glass bells evoke the world of Gustave Caillebotte paintings.
This flowery kitchen garden has a large variety of ancient vegetables, aromatic and medicinal plants, a conservatory orchard and a collection of dahlias, flowers cherished by the painter.
The garden is part of the "Apple Crunchers" network and the association of Potagers de France.
In this school garden, a team of 20 gardeners, all volunteers, learns and cultivates with curiosity and respect for biodiversity. They share their passion with the public and children during weekend openings, workshops and guided tours. The crops are shared between the gardeners.
The Caillebotte kitchen garden is a source of inspiration for many artists, amateurs or confirmed: photos, paintings, sculptures bring a poetic note to the garden.
Each year, new themes are proposed.
