La Mélinière

Ideal for a holiday with family, friends or for work, come and discover the Mélinière holiday cottage! Situated in Saint-Georges-des-Gardes, 3 km from the highest point in the department, your stay will be a haven of tranquillity in a small village of 15 inhabitants (or 5 ‘households’, as they say round here): two dairy farms operate side by side here. The owners, Stéphane, Valérie and their three children, live in the adjoining house. For the 2026 All Saints’ Day holidays, one adult ticket to the Bioparc in Doué-en-Anjou is included free of charge with a seven-night stay.

This self-contained, unobstructed holiday cottage comprises:

- A living area with lounge / dining room / TV / decorative fireplace
- A fully equipped kitchen
- Three bedrooms, each with a double bed (140cm x 190cm)
- A shower room
- Separate toilet

Outside, an enclosed courtyard with a terrace, garden furniture, a parasol, a barbecue and sun loungers will allow you to make the most of sunny days! You’ll also have the chance to try your hand at taming the family’s pony, Choupette, and their three little ‘Ouessant’ sheep.

For any booking made during the All Saints’ Day school holidays, one adult ticket to the Bioparc de Doué-en-Anjou is included free of charge.

Included in the rental price: high-speed Wi-Fi (remote workers welcome!), heating and electricity. Additional charges apply for bed linen, towels and end-of-stay cleaning.

You’ll be 3 km from the highest point in Maine-et-Loire (Saint-Georges-des-Gardes, with its monastery, orientation table and playground), 20 minutes from the vineyards of the Coteaux du Layon and the Loire (including the ‘Loire à Vélo’ cycle route), 30 minutes from Angers, with its Terra Botanica botanical park, castle and historic city centre, and 45 minutes from Puy du Fou. The holiday cottage is also situated 8 km from Chemillé-en-Anjou (the ‘capital of medicinal plants’, with its theatre, the beautiful Camifolia botanical garden and its various activities, its municipal swimming pool and its cinema) and 17 km from Cholet (known as the ‘handkerchief capital’, offering a wide range of activities: a water sports centre, textile museums, monuments commemorating the Wars of the Vendée, an ice rink, a swimming pool, a bowling alley, go-karting and laser tag...).
