Description

Come here to enjoy a peaceful and natural setting ...
Indeed, the village is a small haven of peace 80 km south of Paris which has been occupied since prehistoric times. Among other things, many traces of history have been found there. In particular, Neolithic polishers are still visible in the hamlet "à la Mai". But also, a cellar along the main road Paris-Lyon (of unknown date), and also a Merovingian cemetery discovered at a place called "La Roche-aux-Fées".

The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin was built during the 13th century. Moreover, its choir and its bell tower have been classified as a "Historic Monument" since 1926.

Located on a main road leading from Paris to Lyon, the town had an important coaching inn until the end of the 17th century. Later, the village will benefit in the hamlet of Quenonville, from a telegraph station placed on the line of Lyon.

In conclusion, walking in the calm and natural setting of Bougligny and its so-called places, allows you to appreciate its charms.
