Vaujany developed around the white gold in the 1989's, making the choice of a reasoned and fair development for this small mountain village which only knew a rough life punctuated by the seasons. In the past, the inhabitants lived mainly from rural activities and livestock farming to support themselves. If Vaujany presents itself as a modern and well-equipped resort, it continues its development in the spirit of a village.

Several high altitude restaurants such as le petit truc, le Vaujaniat or les Airelles welcome you for a drink, a meal or a good snack.
