Description

Scientific name : Natrix maura. Diurnal water snake, grey or brown with some red or yellow on the back. Length from 0,7 (male) to 1 m (female). Habitat : Rivers, lakes, areas of stagnant water. South-Western Europe, North-Western Africa. Reproduction : 3 to 16 eggs in spring. Food : Small fish, amphibians.
