Located along the old Savoyard salt road, the Notre-Dame des Grâces chapel is halfway between the village and the Brouis pass.
As an epidemic of plague ravages Breil-sur Roya, the inhabitants go to implore the Virgin at the sanctuary of Rocaforte de Mondovi. They commit themselves, if the plague ceases, to raise a chapel on the path through which the plague has arrived. Their wish granted, they build this chapel also called Notre Dame des Neiges, and seal a plaque indicating: "Comm. communitas Brelii, tempore pestis 1631, Augt. votum feisset, quod intercessione, ss Marie Virginis, arque Rosalie et Roch, libera fuit", "The community of Breil at the time of the plague of 1631 had made a vow on August 5, because, through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, of Saint Rosalie and Saint Roch, she was set free".
Several ex-voto and a pair of crutches testify and wishes granted.
Free of charge.
