La Braconne is a vast national forest, covering nearly 5,000 ha, which rests on karst covered by underground rivers.
The work of groundwater over millennia has led to spectacular collapses: the Great Pit, the Limousine Pit, and the Mobile Pit.
Many paths and marked trails allow you to discover a wide variety of botany but also voles, weasels and other woodcocks...

Forest house restored by the 'Syndicat Mixte d'équipement touristique' of the state-owned forests of Braconne and Bois Blanc, day forest shelter equipped with a fireplace, tables, chairs and toilets.
No sleeping accommodations.
This forest house is the starting point of the interactive game "forest challenge in Braconne", achievable with your smartphone (4km course, 12 challenges). A game for the whole family!
