Discover this prestigious Cluniac site with its historiated capitals and the restored shrine of Saint Calmin.
Founded, according to legend, in the 7th century by Saint Calmin, it is one of Auvergne's greatest Romanesque buildings. The abbey church boasts remarkable historiated capitals, some of which are displayed on the floor. The champlevé enamel shrine of Saint Calmin and Saint Namadie is one of the finest surviving examples of Limousin enameling.
