This fountain is situated on a on a walking path named "Lou Camin del Picalhas", starting from the hamlet of Bonneterre. It would have been built by the inhabitants of the hamlets of Campselves and Ajas, in the 1880's or 1890's. This fountain was used by pupils of the school of Bonneterre to keep fresh water between their classroom and the village of Campselves, during high heat days. Every day, children walked on this path to go to school.Bad drained and not enough known, this fountain was restored with the help of the department With a grant, the townhall can restore the fountain. Members of a local association, "Causses et Vallées", will lead the projects, with the material help of the townhall. At the foot of the watering place, a drain has to allow the flow of the water. A cleaning of stones will also take place.The first part of the works took place on september 2016, the 24th, with the contribution of elected people of the village, members of the association "Causse et Vallée", inhabitants of Bonneterre and a child, for the symbolic aspect. Stones of the fountain and the water place were cleaned up and a drain was created. During the spring of 2017, a pavement will be put in front of the fountain to complete this restoration.
