






A museum areas to discover the history and traditions of the Volvestre area.
This museum is organised around 3 exhibition rooms: the lapidary museum with column capitals from the 13th and 14th Centuries and vestiges of Franciscan and Dominican cloisters. The Papogay museum: archery traditions dating from the 14th Century still being observed, with a reconstitution of the tradition and the presentation of archives and photos (papogay.free.fr). –Exhibition hall (a new exhibition every month) open tour (Tourism office hours)
The Tourist Office of Rieux-Volvestre offers you to discover three museum spaces for free:
- the first is dedicated to the traditional festivals of Papogay;
- the second is dedicated to the remains of the old religious buildings dismantled during the French Revolution;
- the last one at the Via Garona, a secondary itinerary of the famous Saint Jacques de Compostelle routes, which passed through Rieux-Volvestre.
