Mountain Refuge Hut: La Balme
Description
Situated at the heart of the nature reserve, this mountain refuge hut sits at the foot of the Pennaz needles (2688m) in the direction of the Bonhomme mountain pass.
Enjoy the magical surroundings and a wide variety of animal and plant species. Allow 1h30 from the car park at Notre Dame de la Gorge.

Col de la Fenêtre 2245 m: A 2 hour hike, more difficult towards the end, offering panoramic views of Mont-Blanc. Tête nord des Four 2756 m: A long and more difficult 3h30 hike. Longer hikes: GR5 - GRP
