GITES DE LA GROTTE AU LION - GIT'ANES

Le Gît'Anes is a bright, quiet gîte (sleeps 8) facing east and south, located in a small, picturesque and authentic mountain village in the Pyrenean foothills, at an altitude of 620m facing the Pic de Cagire (1912m).
With its large garden and close proximity to the mini onyx quarry, which was mined in the 1930s, it's a place steeped in history and full of charm that we'd be delighted to share with you!

In need of fresh air, peace and nature? Come and recharge your batteries in our Gît'ânes gîte, set in a natural setting facing the Pic du Cagire in Arbon.

Our independent gîte, located on our property, comprises 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom with a double bed (140cm) on the ground floor and a bedroom upstairs with a double bed (140cm) and 2 bunk beds (90cm)), a lounge/dining room with an extra bed (sofa bed), a shower room with WC and a fully-equipped kitchen. Outside you'll find a private garden, outdoor table and chairs, parasol and deckchair, and a barbecue. Private car park.

You'll discover a small, picturesque and authentic mountain village. The peace and quiet and the birdsong will take you into another world, that of a village in the Pyrenean foothills perched on its rock at an altitude of around 620m, just opposite the Pic du Cagire. Hiking trails start from the village in all directions. You have a rendezvous with nature. The deer roar in autumn and sporting activities are available all year round: hiking, donkey trekking, horse riding, aqua trekking, accrobranche, climbing, canyoning, caving, mountain bike hire, mountain scooter hire, electric bike hire, snowshoeing, skiing (depending on the season). The 1st restaurant is located in the next village, about 2km away.
You are at the heart of a lively, dynamic and diverse microcosm: there are many activities on offer around Arbon: producers and craftspeople who will welcome you for a visit or a course (wild basketry, woodturning, pottery, soap-making, honey-making, cheeses, jewellery, etc.), watercolour courses, massages, walks or sound massages, etc.
Ideally situated between Saint Bertrand de Comminges and Arbas, 30 minutes from Le Mourtis and its ski slopes or in the other direction from the Salies du Salat SPA, 40 minutes from Luchon and the Spanish border, 1h30 from the Pic du Midi. Also nearby: the Créagire plant and art labyrinth at Sengouagnet, the wool farm at Herran, Bonnefont Abbey and its cultural programme, Saint Gaudens 20 minutes away for cinema and theatre...
Everything is within easy reach. The lively, bustling Aspet market 7 km away will give you the opportunity to combine business with pleasure, and all the shops in the village will add to your shopping experience: bars, tearooms, a grocery shop selling local produce, 3 bakeries, a patisserie, Carrefour contact, a chemist, a florist, a beautician, a ceramics and antiques dealer, woodworkers, a silk-screen printer, designer boutiques, a clothes shop, etc.
