This collegiate church is dedicated to St. Martin (known as the Spaniard), one of the city's three patron saints. It was built in the 12th century, in the shape of a Latin cross, on top of remains from the 5th century. The transept, the octagonal dome on pendentives, part of the chevet and an exceptional group of historiated capitals in the choir all date from this medieval period. The bell tower is in the neo-Romanesque Limousin style, reaching a height of 60 meters. The crypt contains the remains of the previous 5th-century basilica, unearthed in 1986 and 1987.
