Eglise Saint-Julien-de-Brioude de Concèze

The hemicyclic chevet, lined on the inside with colonnettes and arcades under high plinths, the apse and the choir date from the Romanesque period; the nave, flanked by aisles with two side chapels, is criss-crossed with graceful primatic ribs. This part of the church belongs to the later ogival period. The church must have been enlarged at this time, in which case the Romanesque section would be the remnant of an earlier church. To these remarkable features, we must add the age of the bell, which dates back to 1475 and was listed as a historic monument on November 12, 1908.
