Description
The Cité internationale de la tapisserie opened in summer 2016 in the building of the former National School of Decorative Art in Aubusson entirely rehabilitated : 1200 sq. meters of exhibition to immerse you into the age-old craftsmanship of Aubusson tapestry, recognized intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, in a never-before-seen theatrical display, a creation platform to discover astonishing contemporary pieces, a place for training and workshops, the first European documentation centre about tapestry.
