"La Machinerie" is a historical escape game, it is a new leisure activity that opened its doors on June 9, 2021 in Plombières-les-Bains in the Vosges.
The concept of the escape game: a team of 2 to 5 people is locked in a room and must solve riddles, find clues, discover secret caches to get out in less than an hour.
The first scenario is called "The Emperor's Secrets", it was imagined and designed by the BARON family. It is a real immersion in the heart of the Second Empire (second half of the 19th century) thanks to furniture and decor inspired by the period. The players will have to accomplish the mission, namely, to find and steal the Treaty of Alliance signed between France and Italy.
In addition to the escape game room, La Machinerie also offers an urban treasure hunt. Divided into two teams to race or simply to walk around the historical center, the track game leads the players to the emblematic places of Plombières-les-Bains with the help of QR codes.
The name "La Machinerie" refers to the industrial revolution, but also to Napoleon III's passion for the innovations of the time (telegraph, steam locomotive) without forgetting the reference to the famous steamboat of the American engineer Fulton tested on the Augronne.
