Planétarium de la Côte Basque

The mobile planetarium of the Basque coast is located at the Reptou school, in the Saint Martin district, near the center of Biarritz. The purpose of this activity is to promote astronomy to the general public and to schoolchildren.
The club offers to beginners or experienced amateurs the possibility to share and enrich their passion. The approach is based on a great experience of active pedagogy, observation of the sky, experimentation of physical phenomena and construction of models. In the planetarium, piloted by a scientific animator, the dome on which is projected a simulation of the sky is a powerful educational tool. It takes you on a great journey to the farthest reaches of the universe, helps you understand celestial mechanics, lets you experience an astronomical event or discover the mythology linked to the constellations.
