Gunne yard - A real Viking farm!
Gunne yard is a reconstruction of a Viking house from the beginning of the 1000's AD. The farm is beautifully situated in a rich archaeological area where the animals graze on the mounds. ’

At Gunne farm are Bronze Age cairns, Iron Age burial and several rune stones. One of the inscriptions tell - "Vibjörn stone carve this stone after Gunne daughter, his wife." Gunne farm is named after the runestone.
Animals on the farm
At Gunne farm there, depending on the season pigs, sheep, chickens and cows. The animals are not just a nice feature but also fills an important function. Their grazing keeps graveyards and land surrounding the farm open. Number of animals and species varies from year to year.
Experience the Iron Age in a day or an evening!
You can also arrange group tours. School classes can come here and live the "Iron Age" in a day, it takes place on weekdays during the fall and spring. You can even book the Iron Age, display or guild for adults on the farm - or maybe a company event!
