Prieuré de Lagrange
Description
The Lagrange priory in Durance is private property. This monument, classified as a historical monument, was built by a community of Premonstratensian monks in 1220. Adjacent to the fortified dwelling, the chapel has an exceptionally well-preserved mural painting decoration dating from the 1340s.
The association "Les amis du prieuré de Lagrange", founded in 2014, aims to contribute to the restoration, safeguarding and enhancement of the monument by organizing visits and events.
