Located at the bottom of the valley and renovated in 2006, the Glère refuge is a magnificent belvedere on the granite massif of Néouvielle. It provides access to its many crystal clear lakes, which are all calls for a day of fly fishing or for the simple contemplation of the place.
Easy to access, the Glère refuge is a family refuge. From its terrace it is already possible to admire 2 of the 12 lakes that dot the Glère valley. The unspoiled nature that surrounds it is beautiful, with its different levels marked by lakes, ridges, passes and peaks. Much less known than its neighbour (the Néouvielle Nature Reserve), the Glère valley has kept a wilder character because it is much less frequented. This will allow the very, very lucky to be able to observe a ptarmigan or an izard... After a good meal and a good night at the refuge, young and old alike will be able to tour the lakes. Itinerant hikers can embark on the tour of the Néouvielle, or towards one of the "3000" of the Néouvielle. In winter, the refuge is open for ski tourers.
