REFUGE DE L'ALPE DE VILLAR D'ARÈNE (FFCAM)
Description
Located in the middle of the mountain pastures, near the village of La Grave, the Alpe refuge welcomes you, young and old, for a day hike, to live the refuge experience, or to stop off on the GR54. It is a must-see accommodation for mountaineering and ski touring in the Ecrins massif.

The Alpe refuge is ideal for families, and those who wish to discover a first night in a refuge. Hikers will also find what they are looking for: for the day, on the GR54 or in a star ride from the refuge. It also accommodates mountaineers (on their way to the Pic des Agneaux, the Pic de Chamoissière, the Pic de Neige Cordier, etc.),For ski touring enthusiasts: THE SPOT par excellence! Want to raid? The refuge is on the Tour de la Meije and the Haute Route des Ecrins. Do you prefer star hikes? The choice is immense, for all tastes, all levels, on all slopes. Access is via a very accessible family hike, despite some steep passages. Beyond the refuge, the Lac de l'Etoile and the Lac d'Arsine await you. In the surrounding area, you can cool off by a stream, or daydream lying in the grass.

Winter hut equipment
Please note that the main building is closed in winter. The winter refuge is located in the small building behind the main building. There is no water or electricity.
