REFUGE DES OULETTES DE GAUBE (FFCAM)

Description

From its completely renovated granite promontory, the refuge offers one of the most beautiful views of the Vignemale massif. You can admire its north face, Piton Carré, the Aiguille des Glaciers, Chausenque. It can be reached via the Gaube valley from the Pont d'Espagne.

Reserved in winter for mountaineers and seasoned ski tourers, the Oulettes refuge is a place accessible to all in summer. Families will admire the north face of the Vignemale from the terrace, it is also a stage for hikers on the GR10 and a mythical place of the Pyrenees, a possible starting point for climbing the highest peak in the French Pyrenees.

The refuge will be closed for work from August 2025 to the summer of 2026
