In the heart of the Queyras massif, very close to the Italian border, the Viso Refuge is dominated by the impressive Mont Viso, which culminates at 3841m.
Set in the middle of a wide alpine cirque at an altitude of 2460 metres, with a grandiose view of Mont Viso, the refuge welcomes families, hikers, mountain bikers, climbers and mountaineers. Would you like to do the Tour du Viso or the Tour du Queyras? This refuge will be the ideal stop on your itinerary. Located only 2h30 walk from the Roche Ecroulée, it is also a beautiful day hike.Many other activities are possible from the refuge such as climbing thanks to a wide choice of sites nearby. Not to mention that the Queyras is an exceptional playground for mountain biking! In spring, ski tourers can plan a tour of the classic Viso or a star stay from the hut.
