The La Pra refuge is a stopover on the GR 738, the high crossing of Belledonne from Chamrousse. It offers a good starting point to discover the surroundings and the surrounding peaks (the Grand Colon, the Domenon lakes, the Croix de Belledonne, the Grande Lauzière...). The Belledonne massif lends itself well to an introduction to mountaineering and offers climbing possibilities in a wide variety of registers. In winter, ski tourers can choose from a variety of routes.

Sleeping Overview
The refuge de la Pra is a collective type of accommodation, so you can be in the company of other people in the same dormitory, but we strive, as far as possible, to organize your bed in a comfortable way...The beds consist of single bunk beds (80 x 200 cm), in dormitories of 4 to 18 places, partitioned into cabins of 4 to 6 beds.In order to respect everyone's rest, you are asked to be silent in the refuge and on the terrace from 10 pm.Sanitary facilities: the refuge has toilets, sinks in individual cabinsRunning water is available at the shelter.Lunch can be taken at the refuge (à la carte from 12:00 to 14:00) or in the form of take-away meals (indicate it at the time of booking).The evening meal is served at 7pm, it is a unique menu of type: vegetable soup, meat garnished with vegetables and cereal, dessert.A choice of drinks is offered for sale: sodas, syrups, beers, wines and hot drinks (teas, herbal teas, Yogi Tea, hot chocolate ...). People with an allergy or a special menu (vegetarian, gluten-free...) are requested to report it when booking.Collective electrical outlets are available to charge small devices (phone, GPS ...).Your personal waste is to be lowered into the valley on your own.

Summer: Pré Raymond car parks (road suitable for vehicles) or the 4 paths, after the barns of FreydièresSpring and winter: car park in the Freydières barns and then according to natural snow removal.
Winter hut equipment
In winter: the entrance is located on the south gable of the old building.At your disposal: dry toilets, beds and blankets.There is no gas or stove. Provide a stove and a good down. (-2° in January in the refuge recently)Please close doors and windows before your departure. Be careful, this winter a window no longer closes, it was condemned until spring: we ask you not to open it!A participation of 8? is to be deposited in the trunk of the refuge or sent by check to the FFCAM Committee of Isère (7 rue de l'industrie, 38320 EYBENS)
