The castle of Parentignat

Baptized "the little Auvergnat Versailles" by regionalist writer Henri Pourrat, the Château de Parentignat, a member of La Demeure Historique Privée, La Route Historique des Châteaux d'Auvergne and La Toscane d'Auvergne, features vestibules, dining rooms, lounges, a library and staterooms housing sumptuous furniture, much of it original, a collection of paintings by French masters of the 17th and 18th centuries, and 20,000 volumes in prestigious signed bindings.
