The former Aydat wetland, naturally present until the 1960s-1970s, was revived in May 2012.
This zone alone represents a rich and important environment for the lake's biodiversity. Its main role is to purify the waters of the Veyre thanks to the presence of suitable vegetation that limits phosphorus inputs into Lac d'Aydat.
You can stroll through this area along a path of pontoons with footbridges and observatories overlooking the pond, where you can see many species of birds.
