Ripple marks
Description
Sous ce terme au premier abord rébarbatif se cachent de jolis dessins laissés par les vagues ou le courant sur le fond de la mer. Il s'agit de rides allongées, parallèles et régulièrement espacées, observées dans les sédiments sableux et provoquées par l'eau. Les ripple marks de Combe Oursière ne sont pas visibles facilement car elles sont cachées par la végétation mais elles nous permettent de rêver à un passé lointain où la mer était présente.
