La « Combe des Ours »
Description
Le nom de « Combe Oursière » ferait référence à la présence des ours dans le vallon. En 1800, 26 à 30 ours vivaient encore dans l'Oisans et sa région. Les derniers ours connus autour de Valsenestre se seraient réfugiés au siècle dernier vers la Morte et Lavaldens et le dernier d'entre eux aurait été abattu au dessus de Livet. Dans les Alpes, la dernière observation fiable d'un ours daterait de 1937 et se situerait dans le Vercors.
