Église de Larrau
Description
12th-century Romanesque church, last vestige of the commandery that once belonged to Roncesvalles. Listed as a Historic Monument.
The church?s bell tower is atypical and very different from the style found in Soule: here we have a wall-belfry topped by a square bell tower surrounded by four small towers. Burnt down in 1570 and then rebuilt, the church has retained its Romanesque architecture only at the back.
