L'Alpe du Lauzet
Description
L'Alpe du Lauzet est un hameau d'alpage planté à 1 940 m d'altitude, en dessous de l'Aiguillette du Lauzet, qui culmine à 2 717 m, sur la commune du Monêtier-les-Bains. Le hameau est aligné à mi-pente afin d'éviter les avalanches qui se déchargent régulièrement dans le fond du vallon. Les quelques maisons servaient autrefois de lieu d'estive pour les habitants du Lauzet, dans la vallée de la Guisane. Sur la porte de la chapelle, une plaque indique que cinq personnes sont mortes ensevelies par une avalanche durant l'hiver 1892.
