Faille de Ser Barbier

Description

La faille de Ser Barbier met en contact un socle cristallin (aiguille de Venosc) et un dépôt marneux (col du Vallon). Elle s'est formée au jurassique lors de l'ouverture de la mer Téthys, par cassure et effondrement du massif cristallin. Le frottement des deux parties a créé un beau miroir strié bien dégagé par l'érosion.
