Sur la place du village de Villar-d'Arêne s'élève l'église Saint-Martin de Tours, construite entre 1866 et 1870 en tuf calcaire (ou travertin) du col du Lautaret. Ses baies géminées sont caractéristiques de l’art néogothique.
