La callune vulgaire
Description
La callune vulgaire pousse en terrain acide, ensoleillé et bien drainé. On la trouve ici dans les landes sèches ensoleillées de l'adret de La Chalp.Elle tient son nom du grec kallynein, « balayer ». Autrefois, on faisait des balais avec ses tiges.La callune abrite des champignons au niveau de ses racines (on les dit « mycorhizées ») pour favoriser l'absorption des éléments minéraux du sol. Cette association est particulièrement utile dans ce type de milieu pauvre et acide.
