Pic de l'Olan
Description
Le pic de l'Olan est le sommet phare de la vallée. Son versant nord-ouest est une des faces les plus hautes et sauvages des Alpes, au même titre que l'éperon Walker ou les Drus (dans le massif du Mont-Blanc). Son nom est une déformation de l'Auran qui signifiait « mont venteux ». La première ascension du sommet nord date du 29 juin 1877. Pour les alpinistes, sa course représente un bon rocher accessible à tous niveaux, accompagnée toutefois d'un guide de haute-montagne.
