Le fond du vallon des Bans est fermé par un cirque de hauts sommets qui donnent l'ambiance alpine à cette randonnée familiale. Pic de Bonvoisin, Pic Jocelme, Pic des Aupillous et Sommet des Bans semblent former une barrière verticale uniquement franchissable par le pas des Aupillous.
