Poli glaciaire
Description
Le poli glaciaire une surface rocheuse qui a subit l'érosion d'un glacier. Sur ce site, il est composé de gneiss, roche dure et massive résultant d'une cristallisation de quartz, feldspath et de micas partiellement fondus. Des stries permettent de visualiser le sens de déplacement des débris de roches enchâssés dans la glace. Dans les parties fracturées, des fragments de roche ont été arrachés par la glace. Ce phénomène se nomme "débitage sous-glaciaire".
