Vautour fauve
Description
Cet immense rapace de près de trois mètres d'envergure fréquente la montagne depuis peu et ce, grâce à un programme de réintroduction datant de la fin du XXème siècle. En été, il tournoie sans cesse dans le ciel en groupe à la recherche de cadavres de mouton ou de grands mammifères sauvages pour les dépecer et s'en nourrir. Cet impressionnant charognard joue un rôle sanitaire appréciable dans les alpages.
