You will be accommodated on the ground floor of a historic architect's house dating from 1913, listed as a Maine et Loire heritage site. This character house is inspired by the Venetian style.
The gîte has 2 independent entrances and 3 panoramic south-west terraces overlooking the picturesque village of Montrevault and the Evre Valley.
You'll be delighted by the charm and exceptional views from this site. The garden is steep and wooded. The sunsets are remarkable! A visit to the panoramic roof terrace overlooking the village is available on request.
The accommodation comprises a large bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and storage space, a shower room with a walk-in shower, a living room with a BZ sofa bed and a fully-equipped kitchen area (new appliances), and a separate toilet.
You have direct access to the steep village of Montrevault, a historic site surrounded by the meandering river Evre and its listed 15th-century Bohardy bridge. There are several signposted footpaths starting from the gîte. The undulating countryside is perfect for walking. The river Evre is a 5-minute walk from the gîte.
All amenities are close by: supermarket 200 m away, bank 400 m away, bakery 5 minutes away. Restaurants 100 m and 1.5 km away. There are many places to visit within easy reach of the gîte: La Loire at Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, Champtoceaux, Ingrandes, Montjean-sur-Loire, Chalonnes, Ancenis. These bucolic villages are well worth a visit.
