MAISON D'HOTES L'ESCALERE

At the foot of the Pyrenees, in the Pyrenees-Mediterranean region of Occitanie, 300 m from the Via Garona, in 1.5 ha of parkland on the banks of the Garonne, we offer 6 guest rooms (for a capacity of 14 people) in a vast residence completely renovated in 2013.

For a real moment of relaxation and well-being, you can take advantage of the thermal baths (Salies-du-Salat, Luchon, Ax-les Thermes), but you can also enjoy our Finnish sauna on site!

This bourgeois house on the banks of the Garonne awaits you for a relaxing break or a stopover to discover the Pyrenees or Toulouse. You can relax in the large park or take advantage of the real Finnish sauna (equipped with a wood-burning stove) for a wonderfully relaxing moment (surcharge €15/hour).

An ideal spot for fishing enthusiasts, cyclists on the nearby Garonne cycle route or walkers. 8km from the Salies-du-Salat thermal baths.

Chambre Le Salat (20m2) has a large bathroom with double washbasin, WC and walk-in shower. Balcony overlooking the Garonne and another overlooking the loggia. Simmons bedding 160cm and 200cm.

Chambre Le Jô (12m2) (1 x 160cm bed and 1 x 200cm bed) with en-suite bathroom/WC and French windows opening onto the loggia.

Family room La Garonne comprising 2 bedrooms (1 double bed (160cm) + sofa bed (120cm)) (2 twin single beds (80cm)) adjoining a bathroom with double washbasin, shower and Italian-style WC. Balcony overlooking the Garonne and another overlooking the loggia.

The Soumès room and the Garonne room form a suite with a bathroom that can accommodate 4 or 5 people. It has 2 Simmons beds (80cm and 200cm) that can form a double bed. 2 French windows open onto the loggia.

Chambre Peyroutou (13m2) has Epéda bedding (160cm and 200cm), a shower, washbasin and WC. Japanese atmosphere. 2 windows overlook the park.

The last bedroom is in a small 40 m2 flat in the garden. It has a sleeping area with a double bed (140cm), a lounge with a sofa bed (160cm) (TV, DVD player), a fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a separate WC and a storage area with wardrobe.

Living room - dining room :
Table d'hôtes and breakfast are served on the shared living-dining room table. Table d'hôtes meals can be booked in advance and cost €24. A packed lunch is available for walkers.
The lounge area has a sofa, an extensive library, a television and board games.

You'll also find tourist guides, maps of family walks, mountain hikes and cycle and mountain bike circuits, IGN maps, documents on the region's tourist sites and children's activities.

You can also use the barbecue and plancha available in the garden.

This haven of peace is an ideal base for visiting the Grands Sites Occitanie (Saint Bertrand de Comminges, Mas d'Azil, Auch, Lourdes, Toulouse), hiking in the mountains, exploring the Comminges region, cycling, for example on the Garonne cycle route, and of course fishing in the famous rivers of Haute-Garonne and Ariège, or simply in the Garonne that flows past your room, our house has been awarded the Fishing Accommodation label.
