From Oporto, you will travel to the Douro Valley, the first wine region to be demarcated in the world. You will start your tour by minibus to the Raposeira winery and taste their locally produced sparkling wine*. You will then have lunch in a Portuguese speciality restaurant and enjoy a table wine* produced in the Douro Valley. You will then head to Quinta do Portal and Bomfim (subject to availability) where, after a visit to the gardens and bottling facilities, you will be offered a "vinho verde "* tasting, accompanied by a local cheese. You will then embark on a cruise on the Douro River and contemplate the majestic landscape of the vineyards around you. You will be driven back to your departure point in Porto after a day in the Douro region.
