Falunières de Moulin Pochas

15 million years ago, the Falun Sea covered the Mirebalais. Located in Amberre, the Falunières de Moulin Pochas are the only evidence of this in Poitou. Thanks to the work of the Conservatoire Régional des Espaces Naturels, a discovery trail allows access to the site. Reading tables and educational panels guide the visitors in their discovery of a site long used as a quarry for the exploitation of shell sands, called Faluns.
