At the foot of Limoges cathedral, the Arts and Trades Center houses the exhibition center of masterpieces by the “Compagnons et Meilleurs Ouvriers de France” (France's best Tradesmen and Craftsmen). Visitors are invited to discover the history of “Companioning” and the treasures of its customs. The Arts and Trades Center was built on the site where the former medieval “Abbaye de la Règle” (La règle Abbey) used to be. It is a unique tribute to the different prestigious craft trades and to the people who pass the tradition down, from generation to generation.
