Description

Commandée par l’abbé d’Effiat en 1672, la fontaine est réalisée par le sculpteur tourangeau Pierre Vaughelmod de la paroisse de Saint-Étienne. Le bassin quant à lui est l’oeuvre du maçon Bienvault. Bacchus est le dieu romain de la vigne, de la fête et du vin. Il est l’équivalent de Dionysos dans la mythologie grecque.
