Description
Créée en 1932, elle remplace la plage des Mielles détruite par la construction de la darse transatlantique. Le 29 juillet 1933, un établissement de bains est inauguré. Pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, les Allemands fortifient la plage qui devient ainsi un élément du Mur de l'Atlantique.
